Diocesan Events for the Ordinary Year of Jubilee: Pilgrims of Hope

Pilgrimage of the Canadian Martyrs – Saturday, September 20 at St. Peter’s Church, Seven Mile Bay.
It will be a day of prayer, reflection, and fellowship at the Pilgrimage to the Canadian Martyrs.

Bishop’s Charity Dinner – Hosted by Bishop Joseph Dabrowski, the dinner will take place on October 1, 2025, at the Delta Hotel Charlottetown. This special evening will bring Island Catholics together to share a meal, build connections, and renew our common mission as Pilgrims of Hope. Tickets can be purchased online, by e-transfer and by mail.

Jubilee Group Wedding for those Seeking to be Married in the Catholic Church – Bishop Joseph is offering a group wedding celebration at St. Dunstan’s Basilica Cathedral on Saturday, October 4th, especially for those couples who married civilly and wish to receive the Sacrament of Marriage in the Catholic Church. Couples who would like more information can speak with their parish priest.

Jubilee Week of Giving – Oct. 12-19. Celebrate the Jubilee Year by spreading hope through charitable actions this week. Stay tuned for ideas on how you can get involved.

Jubilee for Youth – Join us at St. Dunstan’s Basilica, November 21–22, 2025, for World Youth Day at Home. Led by visiting religious priests and sisters, this weekend will feature prayer, Eucharistic adoration, music, testimonies, and conclude with the veneration of Saint Carlo Acutis’ relics and Mass with Bishop Joseph. Closing Mass for the Jubilee Year – Sunday, December 28th at St. Dunstan’s Basilica

Past Events

Opening Mass for the Jubilee Year – Sunday December 29th at 5:00pm at St. Dunstan’s Basilica. Celebrant will be Bishop Joseph Dabrowski, CSMA. A light reception will follow Mass.

Day of Prayer for Consecrated Life – February 2nd

Diocesan Day of Reconciliation – On Friday March 28th celebrate the Sacrament of Reconciliation in parishes and pastoral units across the Diocese. Click here to find the times and locations in your local parish or pastoral unit

Rosary Pilgrimage – On Saturday May 31st the Provincial Catholic Women’s League, and Knights of Columbus State Council will host a Rosary Pilgrimage across the Diocese, one beginning in the West, and the other beginning in the East. All will join together at St. Francis of Assisi Parish in Cornwall. Read about the event here.

Jubilee for Families – Save Sunday August 10th, as we celebrate our Diocesan Jubilee for Families at Our Lady of Hope Retreat Centre. There will be Mass with Bishop Joseph, games and activities.
