Dr. David Stewart

“Through the Cracks” – The Secular Franciscans have organized a public presentation by Dr. David Stewart on the challenges of providing effective health care to those suffering from addictions and mental illnesses and the process of withdrawal. Dr. Stewart is a medical practitioner at the Mount Herbert Addictions Treatment Facility and the Queen Street Methadone Clinic and a former family doctor in the Cornwall area. The presentation will take place in the parish hall of St. Francis of Assisi Church, 5 Lowther Drive, Cornwall on Sunday, May 15th at 7:00 p.m. All are welcome!

Pilgrimage Walk Across PEI May 19-27 – Join Fr. Albin Arsenault and Jimmy Arsenault, two Cursillistas, as they embark on a 9-day pilgrimage walk across PEI beginning in Tignish on May 19. They will be walking the 273 km with an open invitation to anyone who would like to join them along the way. This fundraiser for a new roof for Immaculate Conception Church in Palmer Road is “more than a walk.” Cursillistas are called to fully live the “fourth day” as Christ our Lord rose on the third day. Each day our two pilgrims will ponder their faith and spend time in prayer. Prayers will be offered for the needs of our diocese. We trust Islanders will respond generously for two worthy causes: a new roof for the church and the Cursillo Movement. Donations may be made by etransfer: palmerroadparish@gmail.com . Contact Fr Albin at 902-882-2622 for more information.
