The Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Jesus make an appeal to the people of the diocese of Charlottetown: The Sisters arrived on the Island on April 10th, 2018, at the request of then Bishop Grecco. After getting all the necessary permissions from the ministry of education, in Sept. 2019 they opened a small home day care. This permits them to care for seven children. Since then, they have been using their dining room as a playroom for the children. The sisters have received and continue to receive many requests from parents who would like to bring their children to their day care. Since they do not have sufficient space to accept these children, they have decided to build an addition to their house so that they will be able to have a day care center. However, they cannot do this alone. The funds they have are not sufficient for this project, but they believe that with God’s help and your help they will be able to do it. Before emeritus Bishop Grecco left the Island, the sisters informed him of this decision and he said to them, “the people of PEI are very generous and if you let them know of your need, they will step forward to help you.” Following his advice, they appeal to all those who are willing to help them to make a donation to:
