Send Aid to Flood Victims in Pakistan

September 14, 2022

Development and Peace ― Caritas Canada has allocated $40,000 to help our partner Caritas Pakistan cope with the worst flooding in the country’s history.

As you are probably aware, our sisters and brothers in Pakistan are currently suffering a great climate disaster. Over 33 million people have been affected by unprecedent flooding across most of the country.

To help our partners, Caritas Pakistan, cope with this crisis, Development and Peace has launched an appeal for funds. We have published an article about it on our website <> .

It is important to encourage people to respond not only generously, but also rapidly because, for a limited, the Government of Canada is matching all donations to the cause dollar for dollar. This scheme is ending on September 28, 2022.

Please do all you can to spread the word in your communities, using all the communications means at your disposal. Please also do what you can to boost our social media posts about this appeal.

Thank you for your support and cooperation. The people of Pakistan are counting on us.

Yours in solidarity,

Minaz Kerawala

We are also calling on Canadians to give generously right now, while the Government of Canada is matching donations dollar for dollar (up to $3 million) until September 28, 2022. We are participating in this Humanitarian Coalition scheme as a member of the Canadian Foodgrains Bank.
