Dear Fathers,
No doubt, you have heard the news, that the country of Ukraine has been invaded by the Russian military under the direction of the Russian President Vladimir Putin.
This is a terrible injustice and tragedy.
Ukraine is a country of forty million people: slightly more people than Canada.
There are many Canadians, particularly from western Canada who emigrated to Canada from the Ukraine.
PLEASE ask your parishioners to pray fervently for the people of the Ukraine in this time of crisis.
Let us also invoke the maternal intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
Our Lady of the Ukraine, pray for the people of the Ukraine, and pray for us. Amen.
