A fundraising effort is getting underway beginning in March for the building fund at Immaculate Conception Parish in Wellington. The draw is sponsored by CAA Travel, and will include travel vouchers and an early bird draw for a night out for two in Charlottetown.
The church has a number of building projects and maintenance to work on over the next couple of years, and this draw will hopefully be the beginning of starting to get to them. While we need to replace our rectory garage, which was blown down in the hurricane this past Fall, and we need to replace a septic tank, and few other small items, our biggest immediate need is the church roof which we look to have replaced by year’s end.
