Fr. Augustine Ignasimuthus, presently Pastor of St. Cuthbert’s Parish St. Teresa, St. Andrew’s Parish, Mount Stewart and St. Patrick’s Parish, Fort Augustus and the Diocesan Director of Vocations was incardinated into the Diocese of Charlottetown on July 31, 2020. Welcome Fr. Augustine!
The arrangements with all the missionary priests is for a specified term. However, Canon Law provides for the possibility of incardination after five years if both Ordinaries agree to accept the petition for incardination from the priest.
As a reminder, Fathers Ashok Veerabathina, Raju Chebattina, and Arulraj Santiago were also incardinated during the past few years.
