The mental quality of thought that drove St Ignatius’ vibrant spiritual life was his remarkable imagination.
It played a central role in his conversion.
Through his many years of directing others, he discovered how useful the imagination could be in fostering a deeper relationship with God.
For Easter Week, New Pilgrim Path features a wonderful imaginative contemplation exercise inspired by Eugène Burnand’s vivid painting,
“The Disciples Peter and John Running to the Sepulchre on the Morning of the Resurrection.”
It is a marvellous way to celebrate this immense feast.
