Our Lady of the Assumption CWL will hold its Annual Christmas Bazaar at Assumption Parish Centre, Stratford, on December 3, 10:30am-12:30pm. There will be a sale of home-baked goods, jams, jellies, pickles, fudge, crafts, holly, used books, puzzles, jewellery, scarves, and tickets on gift baskets and silent auction items. Free admission. The annual 2023 PEI Catholic Girls Bursary Application for Catholic Girls and Women attending College or University Institutions is now available in your parishes or online @ the CWL’s PEI website at cwlpei.ca. This Bursary is administered by the PEI Provincial Catholic Women’s League of Canada (CWL). The deadline to apply is January 31, 2023.
Heart-of-the-Matter Marriage Prep Course will be offered on Jan 13/14, 2023 in Charlottetown. If you are planning to get married this summer you will need to prepare. This course is for engaged couples and runs Friday evening and all day Saturday. (Sunday would be the storm day). Behold the Lamb of God: A retreat on our Lord’s Eucharistic presence at Our Lady of Hope Retreat Centre. Father Andrew Handrahan will lead this retreat the weekend of January 20-22, 2023, reflecting on the Lord’s presence among us in the Eucharist and our response to this sacred gift of the Lord to His Church. Stockings4LIFE – Joy for new moms this Christmas: PEI LIFE is calling for nominations for new PEI PowerMoms! Any woman who had or adopted a baby in 2022 can be nominated to receive a Stocking4LIFE. We encourage and support those in crisis when we honor those who have said YES to LIFE. A new mom says yes in so many ways! Nominate your favorite new mom and tell us why she is the best.
