3)     The Wonders and Healing Power of Trees: We believe that we are keepers of a way of life that is in harmony with Earth, our common home that is to be valued and protected (from the Mission of The Living Well)-This session focuses on the harmony between ourselves and the trees around us. Through photos, quotes, poetry and music we will discuss the beauty of trees, the secrets that give them life and build communities, and the many gifts they offer us. We will also discuss the many lessons we can learn from trees and how we can support them so we may always live in harmony. This session, at The Living Well, 96 Patterson, Charlottetown is on November 20, 1:30-3:30.  A break with a snack is provided. 4)     Counselling Services: Have you been experiencing problems dealing with anxiety, loss, depression, separation, parenting or relationship issues? Free counselling services are available through a project sponsored by The Living Well. 5)     Martin and Earla at Our Lady of Hope Retreat Centre invite you to join them in celebrating an old-fashioned Christmas Tea of thanksgiving on Sunday December 15th from 2 until 4:30 pm.  This is atime for you to thank HIM for all your blessings! 

6)     Recently a parish in our Diocese received a generous bequest from a parishioner’s Estate in an amount which provides income of $15,000 – $20,000 per year to be used for maintenance of the parish into the future. 7)     Our Lady of Hope Retreat Centre is hosting its 2nd Annual Roast Turkey Dinner takeout in aid of the local food bank. Tickets are $10 each and include meal with roll and dessert. 1)           Diocesan Employment Opportunity: Business Administrator

This is a new full-time position created to assist the Bishop in the financial administration of the Diocese and in his duty of due diligence over other Catholic institutions. This position will provide advice and assistance to parishes on their properties and possessions in accordance with canon and civil law.

This position works independently and requires knowledge of finance and accounting and the ability to communicate effectively with priests and parishes. You will be great for this role if you are a self-starter, knowledgeable in finance and attentive to detail with good listening and verbal communication skills.

Must have a BBA or a Business Administration Diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution supplemented with considerable finance experience.

3)    The Latin American Mission Program (LAMP) Diocese of Charlottetown is presenting the 32nd annual Daniel O’Hanley Memorial Lecture on Sunday, November 17, 2024, 2:00 pm at Central Christian Church Hall, 223 Kent Street, Charlottetown.  Dr. Rosario Espinal, Dominican-American Sociologist, is the guest lecturer.  The topic is:  Development and Democracy: The experience of the Dominican Republic.  Entertainment and refreshments will follow the lecture.
