THE DIOCESE OF CHARLOTTETOWN PRIEST’S BENEVOLENT FUND: The priests of the diocese thank each and every one for your generosity through the recent fundraising project. This fundraising drive began in 2013 and was completed this past year. Some have even continued support beyond the completion of the official drive while others may plan to do so upon their death. The total amount pledged was $5,108,863.00. $154,780.00 of that amount was cancelled, leaving $4,954,083.00. The amount collected is $4,029,983.00 with $81,419.00 still to come from Saint Dunstan’s University Board. The generosity of Laity, Religious and Clergy make it possible for our retired priests to live out their last years in dignity and peace. For all of this your priests say thanks and assure you of their continued prayers and limited service in their retiring years. The priests thank those Catholic organizations who participated by making contributions to the Fund and express their appreciation to George Morrison and Mary Roche for their service in administering the Fund.
LE FONDS DE RETRAITE DES PRÊTRES DU DIOCÈSE DE CHARLOTTETOWN : Les prêtres du diocèse désirent vous remercier tous et toutes pour votre générosité durant leur campagne financière récente. La Campagne a commencé en 2013 et s’est terminée l’année dernière. Certains d’entre vous ont même continué de nous supporter depuis la fin de la campagne officielle, tandis que d’autres pensent le faire à leur décès. Le montant total promis fut de 5,108,863$. De ce montant 154,780$ ont été annulés. Il en reste donc 4,954,083$. La somme remise à date est de 4,029,983$; le 81,419$ qui en reste viendra de l’Université Saint-Dunstan. Vingt-cinq pourcent des contributions individuelles ont été retournées aux paroisses. La générosité des laïques, des religieuses et des membres du clergé ont fait que nos prêtres à la retraite peuvent vivre leurs dernières années dans la dignité et la paix. Pour tout cela, vos prêtres vous disent un grand merci et vous assurent de leurs prières et d’un service limité durant leurs années de retraite. Nous remercions les organismes catholiques qui ont participé par leurs dons à cette campagne et nous sommes reconnaissants envers Mary Roche et George Morrison pour leur service dans l’administration de notre fonds de retraite.
