Diocesan Administrator Fr. Brian MacDougall has appointed Fr. Walter Flynn as the new Vocation Director for the Diocese of Charlottetown. Fr. Walter is the associate pastor at St. Paul’s Parish in Summerside. He can be contacted there at 902-436-5112.

St. Mary’s (Hunter River) Cemetery Sunday: There will be a service of prayer and song at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hunter River on Sunday, September 11, 2022 at 1pm. All are welcome. Please pass this invitation along to anyone you know who may have friends or family members in the cemetery or former parishioners of St Mary’s of the People.

Martha Spirituality Centre Program Offering (for more information on our programs visit us at www.pei-marthas.ca) : Lectio Divina, a contemplative praying of Scripture, commences on Thursday, September 15th (10:30 to 11:45 AM) and concludes on Thursday December 8th. During these sessions, held at the Centre (SDU Place on Great George Street), we will listen to and reflect upon the upcoming Sunday Gospel. Interested men are invited to gather at West River United Church hall in Cornwall to reflect on male spirituality themes, sharing in the context of a “home group.” Beginning September 17th, meetings will be held on the fourth Saturday of the month from 10am to noon. The Annual Pilgrimage to the Canadian Martyrs at St. Peter’s Church, Seven Mile Bay will take place on Saturday, September 24th for pro-life intentions. The Knights of Columbus and the Catholic Women’s League are partnering in this event. The Rosary will begin at 10:00 am followed by Mass at 10:30. A collection will be taken for PEI Life. Everyone welcome.
