Diocesan Communiqué – August 17, 2022

August 17, 2022

Join Father Mark Cherry of Sacred Heart Evangelization and Healing Ministry for a Healing Mass on August 25th, 7:00 pm at St. Paul’s Parish in Summerside. The focus of the Mass will be the continued healing ministry of Jesus Christ through His Church. The homily will focus on receiving the Lord’s healing; prayers for healing will be offered after Mass during a time of Adoration.

The 2nd Annual Bike for Christ took place August 6-7, with youth attending from across Queens and Kings County. These young people biked 70 kilometers over 2 days, overcoming bike troubles, sore muscles, and heat wave conditions. Fr. Brian MacDougall offered a Mass for the participants in Morell before they set off and after conquering the biggest hill of the entire journey, the fearsome Wood Islands Hill, the adventure was capped off on Sunday at St. Mary’s Church in Montague with a half hour of adoration provided by Fr. Raju Chebattina. The weekend was an awesome opportunity to find fellowship with other young Christians and to grow closer to God! Thank you to all who offered prayers and support for our diocesan youth on this endeavour!
