After a two year COVID induced hiatus, the annual Queen Square School Reunion is scheduled for Friday, Aug 19, 2022 from 4-7 pm at the Murphy Centre (former Basilica Recreation Centre) at 200 Richmond Street in Charlottetown.

Former students and teachers are invited to renew longstanding friendships and reminisce about our former school.

Light refreshments and mussels will be provided. Please plan to attend.



The summer concert series at the Basilica returns on Wednesday August 17
, with Basilica organist Leo Marchildon showcasing the colours of the Casavant pipe organ through the works of the French Romantic masters.

On Tuesday August 23, countertenor Vhikthør Vhølkhem teams up with Leo Marchildon to present ORGANOPERA!, a mixture of opera classics accompanied on the pipe organ.

On Wednesday August 31, the Basilica presents CANTOR-SING! featuring the vocal talents of the various Basilica soloists performing pieces outside of their usual Sunday morning repertoire. All concerts take place at St. Dunstan’s Basilica and start at 1 PM. Admission is by free will offering.


The annual Bishop Angus Bernard MacEachern Mass will be held at 4:00 Sunday afternoon, August 21st at the St. Andrew’s Chapel. This Mass commemorates the arrival on the Island of the founder of the Diocese of Charlottetown. The Chapel is 2 kilometers east of Mt. Stewart on the St. Peters Highway. A small luncheon will be served after Mass, and all are welcome.
