Mass for Graduates: Join the UPEI Campus Community as we celebrate our 2022 Graduating Class with a Mass of Thanksgiving on Monday May 9, 2022 at 9:00 am in the UPEI Chaplaincy Centre. As of April 11, the general dispensation from the Sunday Mass obligation has come to an end. Of course, we still encourage people to stay home if they are sick and remind everyone that “no one is bound to the impossible.” We would also like to remind the faithful that their pastor can dispense them from the Sunday obligation or substitute it with another pious act (such as praying with scripture) for a just cause. This dispensation or substitution can be granted for as long as the cause continues. The purpose of the obligation is to respect the importance of celebrating the Lord’s day in prayer.
