Sister Teresa Currie receives Citizen Recognition Award from the City of Charlottetown.

This award “recognizes extraordinary Charlottetown residents that go above and beyond to positively impact the people and community around them” as stated by the City of Charlottetown.

In the afternoon of July 29th Sister Teresa was honored at City Hall for her long years of caring for the less fortunate. Her many years of service in prison ministry first on PEI and then for over 30 years in Springhill have been truly a gift to prisoners and their families within the Atlantic region.

Members of Sister Teresa’s congregation celebrate with her. From left to right are Sisters Gemma Dunn, Aldona Arsenault, Joan Campbell, Teresa Currie, Rosemary MacDonald and Debbie Peters.
