Hello! I have some photos from Fr. Brian’s retirement party that Holy Trinity Pastoral Unit hosted on September 15.
We were very, VERY sad to see him go and there were tears shed. However, we are happy for him and wish him a long, healthy retirement.
I am attaching a few pictures that I thought you’d might like to put on the Diocese website or Facebook .
Thank you, Maureen Evans

Dear Father Brian,
As you officially retire, I want to take this opportunity to personally express my gratitude to you for your 42 years of ministry. Your ministry has been a true gift to the faithful of the Diocese of Charlottetown. Your great “yes” to the Lord’s call resulted in not just bringing the Word of God to the people, but you have also made a difference in the lives of so many. As you reflect back on your ministry, remember all of the couples wed, the babies baptized, the people brought into full communion with the Church, both young and old. The people of God have been greatly blessed by your vocation.
The work of a priest is not easy. There have been many changes and challenges over the years, and while there are many demands, there are also many joys. You have worked tirelessly with great sacrifice and devotion, and it has been an inspiration.
Thank you for your ministry, for empowering the lay people in the Church, and for supporting brother priests in their priestly ministry. Both our Diocese and the Church have been greatly enriched by your many years of ministry. Rejoice in the gift you have offered through the years of your priesthood.
I’m really grateful you took on the role of Diocesan Administrator for over two years. Let’s be honest: being picked for such a responsible, demanding ministry says a lot about the trust and confidence your fellow priests had in you—or maybe they just thought, “Better him than me!”
I still remember how thrilled you were when you heard about my appointment. You even admitted in an interview that you were glued to the news from Rome, and when people asked you, “Any updates yet?” you’d tell them, “Not yet, keep praying!” And then, when the big news finally came, you said, “Thank God! My prayers and everyone else’s have been answered!” Well, fast forward to today, I think you can say the same thing about your retirement: “Thank God, my prayers have definitely been answered!”
I am also very grateful to you as you continue to help in parishes when needed and support me in my ministry once you officially retire.
Please accept my gratitude, fraternal regards, and best wishes on your retirement. I pray that the Holy Spirit will continue to guide you, and that God will bless you with good health and priestly joy.
Sincerely yours in Christ,
Most Rev. Joseph Dabrowski, CSMA
Bishop of Charlottetown
