Julie wrote the poems for the play ‘Mi’kmaq Legends’ in 2010 and they have been performed for the last 8 years on many different stages in the Atlantic region. It is her hope that this play will someday travel all over Canada and beyond so more people have the opportunity to learn about the rich Mi’kmaq history! Julie lives in PEI with her husband Rick, her five children, and her Granddaughter Miah.

Her talk is on the 7 Sacred Teachings, learn about the traditional teachings from all over Turtle Island with a mix of stories, music and poetry! Come and learn, have fun and full your own toolbox with the teachings that have kept our communities working together in a good way from generation to generation.

Everyone is invited to this presentation, Monday, May 16th, 7pm at St. Mary’s Holy Family Church in Kensington.

Presented by the CWL.
