PEI LIFE was invited to speak to the St Paul’s Confirmation Class of 2024 last week. As a Catholic Theologian and Speaker, Pat Wiedemer presented on the teachings of the Catholic Faith concerning the Sacrament of Confirmation regarding LIFE issues and as illustrated in the teen comic/graphic novel, The Gift.
This story deals with the choices facing a young couple who finds themselves unexpectedly pregnant. The lesson taught that clearly all choices are not the same and that the Church supports its children by and through Her teachings, sacraments, and disciplines to help us choose LIFE.
The youth were very receptive and understood that LIFE is the most valuable gift God gives us and that His teachings enhance our own lives so that we can live LIFE to the full in cooperation with His love and LIFE through the Church. Pat Wiedemer looks forward to expanding our teachings to our youth on these crucial topics facing them today, so that they may live in the freedom God desires for them.
