2024 CLERGY APPOINTMENTS
EFFECTIVE JUNE 20, 2024
• Rev. Blair Bernard is appointed to sacramental ministry at St. Pius X (Charlottetown) until September 20.
• Rev. Tim Broderick is appointed Pastor of St. Simon and St. Jude (Tignish) for a 6 year term.
• Rev. Walter Flynn is appointed Parochial Administrator of St. Pius X (Charlottetown) until September 20 while retaining his current assignments.
• Rev. John Molina is granted 1 year sabbatical.
• Benedict Olelewe, SDV is appointed to Parochial Vicar of St. Mary’s Parish (Souris), St. Charles Borromeo Parish (St. Charles), St. Margaret of Scotland Parish (St. Margaret’s), and St. Columba Parish (Fairfield).
• Rev. Francis Sohe, SDV is appointed Parochial Administrator of St. Mary’s (Souris), St. Charles Borromeo (St. Charles), St. Margaret of Scotland (St. Margaret’s), and St. Columba (Fairfield).
• Rev. Ashok Veerabathina’s health leave is being extended.
EFFECTIVE JULY 18, 2024
• Rev. Praveen Chattumala is appointed the Parochial Administrator of Immaculate Conception (Palmer Road) parish with its mission (Our Lady of the Assumption, Miminegash) and St. Mark (Burton) parish.
• Rev. Lazaru Panthagani is being reassigned by his bishop to an appointment in another diocese.
EFFECTIVE SEPTEMBER 20, 2024
• Rev. Blair Bernard is appointed Pastor of St. Theresa the Little Flower (Morell) and Parochial Administrator of St. Lawrence O’Toole (Green Meadows) and St. Peter (St. Peter’s Bay) parishes.
• Rev. Walter Flynn is appointed Pastor of St. Pius X.
• Rev. Brian MacDougall granted retirement status from parish ministry.
• Rev. Jacques Rigaud is appointed Pastor of Sacred Heart Parish (Alberton) and Parochial Administrator of St. Anthony (Bloomfield) with its mission (Corpus Christi, Glennwood), St. Brigid (Foxley River), and Immaculate Conception (Brae) parishes.
