The Most Reverend Joseph Dabrowski, C.S.M.A., Bishop of Charlottetown, announces the following
clergy appointments effective August 8, 2023, unless otherwise noted:
Fr. Blair Bernard, having returned from Madonna House, has been appointed Pastor of St. Mary
(Souris) and Parochial Administrator of St. Charles Borromeo (St. Charles’), St. Margaret of Scotland (St.
Margaret’s), and St. Columba (Fairfield) effective August 8, 2023.
Fr. Praveen Chattumala has been appointed Associate Pastor of Our Lady of the Assumption (Stratford)
and St. Joachim (Vernon River) effective June 23, 2023.
Fr. Walter Flynn, currently Associate Pastor of St. Paul (Summerside), has been appointed Pastor of
Sacred Heart parish (Alberton) and Parochial Administrator of St. Anthony (Bloomfield), Immaculate
Conception (Brae), Corpus Christi (Glenwood), and St. Brigid (Foxley River) effective August 8, 2023.
Fr. Yesudasu Gorre has been appointed Associate Pastor of St. Paul Parish (Summerside) and St. John
the Baptist parish (Miscouche) effective August 1, 2023.
Fr. Lyndon Hogan, currently Chaplain at the QEH, has been granted a sabbatical.
Fr. Augustine Ignasimuthu, currently Pastor of St. Mary (Souris), St. Charles (St. Charles’), St.
Margaret (St. Margaret’s), and St. Columba (Fairfield), has been appointed Chaplain at the QEH effective
August 8, 2023.
Fr. Brian MacDougall has been appointed Vicar General of the Diocese of Charlottetown, effective June
30, 2023.
Fr. Lazaru Panthagani has been appointed Parochial Administrator of St. Mark parish (Burton)
effective August 8, 2023.
