New Clergy Announcement: We are pleased to introduce two priests from the Society of Divine Vocations in Nigeria who arrived last week to work in our diocese. The Vocationist Congregation’s main charism is “identifying and fostering vocations to priesthood and religious life, especially among the less privileged”. Their work is to help those they serve discern properly and answer the call of God in their life. For their first few months here, Fr. Benedict Olelewe, sdv is assigned to Our Lady of the Assumption, Stratford and St. Joachim, Vernon River, and Fr. Francis Sohe, sdv is assigned to St. Simon and St. Jude, Tignish. Welcome to our diocese!

From Bishop Dabrowski’s office – NEW EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT TO THE BISHOP- It is our pleasure to announce that Ms. Sandra Bourque is the successful candidate for the role of Executive Assistant to the Bishop. She will begin effective March 18, 2024. Sandra brings a wealth of experience to this role including as an executive assistant and most recently as a parish catechetical coordinator. We are confident she will be a great addition to our team. Please join us in welcoming Sandra. Mrs. Jennifer Scott will continue in her role as Diocesan Receptionist. We are very grateful to Jennifer for assuming various tasks of an executive assistant for the last eight months in addition to fulfilling her regular responsibilities.

This Years’ Mass of Chrism will be celebrated at St. Dunstan’s Basilica on Monday the 25th of March at 7 pm. All are invited!
Those wishing to join the Diocesan Choir for the Mass of Chrism at St. Dunstan’s Basilica on Monday March 25 at 7 pm are invited to rehearse Monday March 18 at 6:30. This special rehearsal will be held in the Boardroom of the St. Dunstan’s University Building, located to the left of the Basilica and up the main centre stairs from Great George Street, Charlottetown.
