Diocesan Communiqué – December 13, 2023

December 14, 2023

Martin and Earla at Our Lady of Hope Retreat Centre invite you to join them in celebrating an old-fashioned Christmas Tea of thanksgiving on Sunday December 17th from 1 until 4 pm.  This is a time for you to thank HIM for all your blessings!

In wanting to bring beauty to the Christmas season, l’Équipe Réveil presents the beautiful community project of the Living Manger – La Crèche Vivante, which will take place at the Village Musical Acadien on Thursday, December 21st (doors open at 6:30 p.m.). This is a Francophone event but is open to all, and will include an activity for children, hot chocolate, cookies, a beautiful gift bag to take home, and the star of the evening, a play with live music about the real Christmas story – A Living Manger! Cost: Free, but donations appreciated! Come celebrate with us!

St. Dunstan’s Basilica: A Global Christmas Celebration:  Carols from around the world form the centrepiece of the upcoming concert entitled “A Global Christmas Celebration”. Over a dozen international carols, many sung in their native tongue, serve to acknowledge the many cultures that grace our Island. Also on the program is “Fantasia Noel”, a reimagining of classic carols updated for a new generation. Leo Marchildon directs 55 singers and a 30 piece orchestra in this gift to the city of Charlottetown which has now become a seasonal tradition. St. Dunstan’s Basilica on Friday December 22 at 7 pm. Admission is by free will offering.
