ADDITIONAL CLERGY APPOINTMENTS FOR 2024 EFFECTIVE SEPTEMBER 20, 2024
Rev. Mahendran (Mahesh) Rathinasamy, SAC is appointed Associate Pastor of St. Paul’s parish (Summerside) and St. John the Baptist parish (Miscouche).
Rev. Krzysztof Stanula, CSMA is appointed as part-time Associate Pastor of St. Pius X and part-time hospital chaplain at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
Mr. Sam Vail will begin his seminarian internship at St. Augustine’s parish (Rustico), St. Anne’s parish (Hope River) and Stella Maris parish (North Rustico) under the pastoral supervision of Fr. Albin Arsenault.
St. Mary’s (Hunter River) Cemetery Sunday: There will be a service of prayer and song at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hunter River on Sunday, September 8 at 1pm. All are welcome. Please pass this invitation along to anyone you know who may have friends or family members in the cemetery or former parishioners of St Mary’s of the People.
Metal roof replacement tender: St. Pius X Parish is inviting tenders from qualified contractors for Roof replacement in metal for the Church, Office and Rectory. Tender specifications are available at the Parish Office during Office hours or via email at: admin@stpiusxpei.com Tenders are due no later than 2:00 pm on September 10, 2024.
The Summer Pipe Organ Concert Series continues: Oklahoma organist Devon Turner is a specialist in early organ music and visits PEI to perform on the beautiful tracker organ at the Church of St. Simon and St. Jude in Tignish on Tuesday August 27 at 7 pm, and then on the magnificent Casavant pipe organ at St. Dunstan’s Basilica in Charlottetown on Wednesday August 28 at 1 pm. Program includes music by Henry Purcell and César Franck. Admission by donation.
