Members of the Prince Edward Island Council of the Catholic Women’s League met in Charlottetown on May 3rd and 4th, 2024, to hold their 102nd Annual Provincial Convention at the Rodd Charlottetown Hotel. There were 140 registered delegates representing 24 of the 27 councils on the Island.
A wonderful eucharistic celebration took place on Saturday morning at St. Pius X church in Charlottetown celebrated by The Most Reverend Joseph Dabrowski, Bishop of Charlottetown, and concelebrated by Fr. Tim Broadrick, pastor of St. Pius X, and Fr. Peter Wojakiewicz, Pastor of The Good Shepherd Pastoral Unit.
Guest speakers included the National CWL President, Shari Guinta, and the National President of the Catholic Health Alliance of Canada, John Ruetz. The convention banquet was attended by several special guests with the keynote speaker The Most Reverend Joseph Dabrowski CSMA.
Delegates enjoyed spiritual programs, fellowship, and lots of networking throughout the convention. CWL members were pleased to be able to have this time of spirituality and fellowship through the convention.
