Bishop Joseph celebrated his second New Year’s Day Levee and welcomed visitors for over an hour during the afternoon of January 1, 2025.
This was a beautiful event allowing Bishop Joseph, Fr. Eric, and Fr. Peter to greet over 500 well-wishers. Everyone had smiles, a chance to speak with each other, and enjoy refreshments that included wine and fruit cake. It was a time to wish each other the best for the New Year.
The Bishop’s Levee was held in the reception room of SDU Place adjacent to St. Dunstan’s Basilica Parish. The halls of SDU Place were continuously filled throughout the duration of the levee.
We would like to extend our gratitude to the staff of Our Lady of Hope Retreat Centre who assisted in serving. We would also like to thank members of Our Lady of Fatima Knights of Columbus Council 824 St. Dunstan’s Basilica who helped with ushering the many visitors.
Bishop Joseph’s levee offered a joyful and uplifting start to 2025, leaving guests inspired and encouraged to participate in the many celebrations and events that the Diocese of Charlottetown has for the Jubilee Year. Jubilee Year bookmarks were well received by all!
