The Dicastery for the Laity, Family and Life announced on March 11, 2026, that Worldwide Marriage Encounter has been formally recognized as an International Association of the Faithful. This recognition affirms the movement’s long-standing mission to strengthen sacramental marriage and support the life of the Church through the witness of married couples, priests, and religious.
For decades, Marriage Encounter has helped couples in more than 90 countries deepen their relationship with one another and with Christ. Through a weekend experience centered on prayer, reflection, and dialogue, couples are invited to rediscover the grace of the Sacrament of Marriage and grow in their vocation within the Church and the world.
