Each year the Universal Church celebrates World Youth Day on the Solemnity of Christ the King.
Again this year, the Diocesan Youth Ministry Office is collaborating with a team of young adults to plan a World Youth Day celebration for our diocese.
The event will take place on Sunday, Nov. 24 beginning at 12:30pm at the WA Murphy Student Centre at UPEI. It will conclude with the 5:00pm Mass at St. Dunstan’s Basilica (celebrated by Bishop Joseph), followed by pizza downstairs in Glastonbury Hall.
The theme for this year’s event is taken from Isaiah 40:31: “those who hope in the Lord will run, but not grow weary”.
We are looking forward to exploring this theme through talks, and group activities.
Returning this year is our multi-lingual Rosary, and pilgrimage walk to St. Dunstan’s for Mass.
We will also have music at the event provided by the Youth Crew from the Good Shepherd Pastoral Unit.
Everyone, of all ages, is invited!
