The Diocese of Charlottetown is pleased to announce that Anna Vail has been hired as the new Diocesan Coordinator of Family, Life, and Youth.
Anna Vail is a born and raised islander. She brings a wealth of experience in youth and pastoral ministry, rooted in a personal commitment to the Catholic faith and a deep love for PEI. Her desire to serve in ministry began in high school, where her own youth group experience helped her to grow in faith and led her to commit her life to God.
Anna dedicated a year to full-time mission with NET Canada as a Team Leader, developing skills in coordinating retreats and travel, team collaboration, pastoral care, and ministering to youth, adults, and families across Canada.
Anna has a passion for people and connection. Since returning to PEI, she has been actively involved in various ministries throughout our Diocese. Currently, she is a leader and coordinator at The Crew Youth Group at St. Dunstan’s, and the Verso L’Alto, a Catholic Young Adult group in Charlottetown.
Professionally, her work as a User Experience Designer at Veterans Affairs Canada provided experience and expertise in strategic planning, project implementation, client-centered research, and creative problem solving.
Anna begins in her new role with the Diocese on January 5, 2026.
She says she is profoundly grateful for the opportunity to serve the faithful of PEI as the Coordinator of Family, Life, and Youth.
