The Diocese of Charlottetown is pleased to welcome Rev. Fr. Christian Mbara. He is presently in residence at St. Pius X Parish, as he awaits assignment from the diocese.
Fr. Christian shares a little bit about himself with the Catholic faithful of Prince Edward Island:
I am Rev. Fr. Christian Mbara, a priest of the Diocese of Okigwe, Nigeria, ordained on August 11, 2007. I am 51 years old and have over eighteen years of experience in parish and diocesan ministry.
In my home diocese, I have served in various pastoral and administrative capacities, including as parish priest, cathedral administrator, and dean of two deaneries, contributing significantly to pastoral leadership and diocesan coordination.
In addition to my ministerial responsibilities, my hobbies include goalkeeping, prayer, singing, reading and care for the sick. I am grateful for the opportunity to continue my priestly pastoral ministry in the Diocese of Charlottetown and look forward to serving the faithful with dedication and fidelity.
My favourite saint is St. Alphonsus Ligouri because of his emphasis on conscience, mercy and God’s love.
