Our Holy Father passed away on Easter Monday. Cardinal Kevin Farrell, Camerlengo of the Apostolic Chamber, announced the news earlier this morning.
Born on December 17, 1936, Pope Francis was elected to the Papacy on March 13, 2013. His first Encyclical as Pope arrived shortly on in June 2013 Lumen fidei, The Light of Faith. This was followed by a Papacy full of travels, writings, and legislation.
Let us come together in prayer for the soul of Pope Francis.
Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him.
