Funeral for Fr. Charles Gallant

The Sanctuary of St. Philippe et St. Jacques Church, Baie-Egmont, I.P.E.

On a grey Saturday morning, August 19, Bishop Richard Grecco and 23 priests of the Diocese of Charlottetown gathered with the community of of the Evangeline Area and many other friends to celebrate the Funeral Mass for Fr. Charles Gallant.

The music was provided by the parish choir and the participation of the assembly was reverent and prayerful.

Fr. Michel Painchaud, Parish Priest of St. Philippe et St. Jacques, proclaimed the Gospel and gave a reflection on Fr. Charles’ 71 years of priestly service and our need to support those whom God calls today to the ministerial Priesthood.

Fr. Charles’ remains were interred in the Parish Cemetery where many of his relatives and friends await the Resurrection.
