We are saddened to announce that that early on the morning of Sunday, April 13, 2025, Fr. Art O’Shea passed away. He was 94 years old and served as a priest for 57 years. He is remembered for his parish ministry, hospital ministry, and service at the diocese. His passion for the history of our diocese lives on in the many books he wrote.
His funeral Mass will be held at St. Dunstan’s Basilica in Charlottetown on Wednesday at 10:30am with interment later. He will lie is state before the funeral at 9:30am.
May he rest in peace and the Lord give to him the reward of faithful servants of the Kingdom.
