Our Lady of Hope Retreat Centre is hosting our 2nd Annual Roast Turkey Dinner takeout in aid of the local food bank. Tickets are $10 each including roll and dessert. All proceeds go to the local food bank which assists countless families and individuals with a helping hand. This year’s dinner is on Sunday, December 1st with pick up between 4:00 and 5:30 p.m. For tickets, contact the Retreat Centre at (902) 621-2385 or (902) 388-1952.


Our Diocese has received a bequest from an estate of $382,000. These funds are to be used for education of priests. Several of our parish priests have utilized these funds to date. Furthering the education of our parish priests provides benefits to all parishioners across Prince Edward Island. The PEI Provincial Council of the Catholic Women’s League with the Canadian Health Alliance of Canada (CHAC) is pleased to present a workshop on End-of-Life Care Saturday, November 23, 2024, at St. Francis of Assisi Parish in Cornwall starting with a Eucharistic celebration at 9:30 am led by The Most Reverend Joseph Dabrowski, Bishop of the Diocese of Charlottetown. Presenters include speakers from the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops and CHAC/St. Paul University. This workshop aims to mobilize parishes to support conversations about end-of-life and is open to all parishioners across the Island. If you are attending, we ask that you bring something for lunch for the sharing table. We look forward to seeing you there.

Recently a parish in our diocese received a generous gift from a parishioner’s estate of $114,000 to be used for their Music program, education and building maintenance. This gift was very much appreciated by the parish and its parishioners.
