1) Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Women’s League Christmas Bazaar is Saturday, December 7, from 10:30 am – 12:30 pm at Assumption Parish Centre, 145 Stratford Road. There will be a wide selection of home-baked goods, jams, pickles, fudge, crafts, holly, Christmas centerpieces, wreaths, gently-used books and puzzles, ticket sales for draws for gift baskets and a fruit cake, and silent auctions. Local shopping at its best!! Free admission. Everyone is welcome.
2) Recently a parish in our Diocese received a generous gift of $60,000 for a roof replacement. This gift was much needed and very much appreciated by the parish and its parishioners. 4) Martin and Earla at Our Lady of Hope Retreat Centre invite you to join them in celebrating an old-fashioned Christmas Tea of thanksgiving on Sunday December 15th from 2 until 4:30 pm. This is atime for you to thank HIM for all your blessings!
5) Recently a parish in our Diocese received a generous bequest from a parishioner’s Estate in an amount which provides income of $15,000 – $20,000 per year to be used for maintenance of the parish into the future. 6) Our Lady of Hope Retreat Centre is hosting its 2nd Annual Roast Turkey Dinner takeout in aid of the local food bank. Tickets are $10 each and include meal with roll and dessert. All proceeds go to the local food bank which assists countless families and individuals with a helping hand.
