Our Lady of the Assumption Parish in Stratford will be having a Journey Through Bethlehem Drive Through event on the Parish Property December 20 and 21, 2024. This event will begin at 6 pm and continue until 8 pm each evening and all parishes across the Island are invited to join us in celebrating the true meaning of Christmas.
GLORIA! Christmas at the Basilica: This years’ Christmas concert at St. Dunstan’s Basilica will feature John Rutter’s “Gloria” as well as the popular cantata “The Wonders of His Love”, performed by 45 voices and accompanied by a 38 piece orchestra, all under the direction of Leo Marchildon. Tuesday December 17 at 7 pm, admission by donation.
Make Christmas come alive as you join in on the annual Old Fashioned Christmas Tea on Sunday December 15th from 1:00 pm to 4:30 pm at Our Lady of Hope Retreat Center. Everyone is welcome. See You There!
Pope Francis announced that 2025 will be an Ordinary Year of Jubilee, with the theme being “Pilgrims of Hope.” Join Bishop Joseph Dabrowski for Mass to open the Jubilee Year in our Diocese on Sunday, Dec. 29 at 5:00 pm at St. Dunstan’s Basilica. A light reception will follow. More details about events celebrating the Jubilee in our Diocese are forthcoming.
The celebration of light at the Martha Spirituality Centre, previously booked for 7 PM on Tuesday, December 17th, has been changed to 7 PM on Sunday, December 15th. All are welcome. Catholic Women’s League Membership Contest 2025: Every CWL council on PEI is encouraged to sign up new members! The council with the largest increase (%) in new members for 2025 will receive up to 5 free registrations for their council members to attend the provincial convention in May. Also, each new member will have their name entered into a draw for a prize. Every council has the same opportunity. As we approach the Jubilee of 2025 let’s reach out to all Catholic women and offer the sisterhood of love and support that characterizes this great Canadian Catholic women’s organization. All are invited for a Christmas House Tour of the Parish Rectory at St. Augustine’s in Rustico on Sunday, December 15th from 1 to 4 PM. Good Will Offerings accepted at the door will be used for pastoral programs.
