Put A Smile on someone’s face and warmth in their heart this holiday Season:
Get your council to gather up all their old Christmas cards they have at home.
Cut the “verse side” off This leaves the photo part of the card which is essentially a postcard now. Write a generic message on the back of each card.
Gather a bunch of them up, place them in one envelope and take them to your local nursing home, women’s shelter, homeless shelter or senior’s unit.
Drop them at the main desk and ask the staff to distribute them to their residents. It won’t cost anything, and you will be spreading love and warmth during the holidays.
This is a Bright Idea from the Provincial Catholic Women’s League and it could be copied by catechism classes, families, and anyone who has a lot of the old Christmas Cards handy!
