On 1 March 2025, DPCC will launch its annual Share Lent Campaign. This year’s Campaign is inspired by Pope Francis’ call to redress economic injustices that cause poverty. In the Bull of Indiction Spes Non Confundit, Pope Francis remarks “Hope should be granted to the billions of the poor who often lack the essentials of life” and “the goods of the Earth are not destined for a privileged few but for everyone,” thus “let us commit ourselves to remedy the remote causes of injustice, settling unjust and unpayable debts….” (16-18).
Inspired by the Holy Father’s call and in communion with him, DPCC will direct all monies collected this year to Caritas Internationalis’ “Turn Debt into Hope” Campaign.
