A Celebration of Community, Faith, and Service: Diocese Launches Bishop’s Fundraising Dinner

August 22, 2025

As part of the Jubilee Year of Hope, the Diocese of Charlottetown is pleased to announce the launch of the first Bishop’s Dinner—a joyful celebration of faith, generosity, and unity among Catholics across Prince Edward Island.

Hosted by Bishop Joseph Dabrowski, the dinner will take place on October 1, 2025, at the Delta Hotel Charlottetown. This special evening will bring Island Catholics together to share a meal, build connections, and renew our common mission as Pilgrims of Hope.

“This gathering will be more than a fundraiser,” said Bishop Joseph. “It will be a moment of fellowship, reflection, and encounter—a chance to deepen our faith and renew our commitment to serve.”

The Honourable Antoinette Perry will co-chair the event, working with the planning committee to ensure the evening is inclusive, inspiring, and collaborative.

The Bishop’s Dinner is envisioned as a signature annual event that strengthens parish and community bonds while supporting diocesan priorities in service, outreach, evangelization, and pastoral care.

Tickets are available online, by e-transfer or by mail.

Proceeds from the 2025 dinner will support local charities and the bishop’s projects selected by a special committee. Each year’s allocations will be announced publicly to ensure transparency and accountability.

In the spirit of the Jubilee, all are invited to join this hopeful new tradition—one that celebrates who we are, where we are going, and what we can accomplish together.

Let’s gather, celebrate, and walk forward in faith—together.
