October 12, 2025

A joyful celebration took place on October 11, 2025, at St. Michael’s Parish in North Ryde, marking the 25th anniversary of the official establishment of the Michaelite Fathers (Congregation of Saint Michael the Archangel – CSMA) in Australia.

The Mass of Thanksgiving was presided over by Bishop Joseph Dabrowski, CSMA, with Fr. Peter Wojakiewicz, CSMA, also in attendance, together with Bishop Danny Meagher, auxiliary bishop of the Archdiocese of Sydney, Michaelite and diocesan priests, consecrated religious, and a large gathering of parishioners and friends.

In his homily, Bishop Dabrowski expressed deep gratitude for the Michaelite Fathers’ 25 years of faithful and joyful service in Australia and Papua New Guinea, highlighting their perseverance, creativity, and humble dedication. He noted that their ministry continues to be “a witness of hope and missionary zeal rooted in the Gospel.”

The anniversary celebration was a heartfelt expression of thanksgiving to God for the countless blessings that have come through the Michaelite presence and a renewed call to live the Michaelite motto:

“Quis ut Deus – Who is like God!”
