The death occurred at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Saturday, July 29, 2017, of Fr. Gerard McIver, formerly of Summerside, aged 79 years.
Born in Newton, he was the son of the late Hugh John and Mary (McCloskey) McIver. Survived by brothers and sisters Louis (Joyce) McIver, Mary (Emerson) Brooks, Edward (Blanche) McIver, Maureen McIver, Charles McIver, Pearl (Pat) Flood, Linus (Diana) McIver and Rita (Russell) Lea; sister-in-law Margaret (McIver) Hughes and numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by step-mothers Mary Morris and Mary Coady; brothers St. Clair and Hugh McIver; special cousins Arnie and Ronnie McIver; niece Patricia Marie McIver and nephew Paul McIver.
Resting at the Moase Funeral Home, Summerside, until Wednesday, then to St. Paul’s Church, Summerside, for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment in St. Paul’s Cemetery, Summerside.
Visiting hours Tuesday from 5 – 8 p.m.
