Fr. Floyd McGaugh Called to the Lord

Saturday morning, December 28, Fr. Floyd J. McGaugh, retired priest of the Diocese of Charlottetown, died at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

Born on January 19, 1929 Fr. McGaugh was 90 years old.

Fr. Floyd was ordained to the Priesthood June 15, 1957 and served in many parishes across Prince Edward Island, retiring from St. Mary’s Parish in Souris where he served as Pastor.

In retirement Fr. Floyd continued to serve as a supply Priest saying Mass and hearing confessions until his health failed.

An avid motorcyclist Fr. Floyd was often seen touring on his Goldwing bike.

Resting at the Hennessey Cutcliffe Charlottetown Funeral Home for visiting hours on Monday, December 30th from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 31st from St. Dunstan’s Basilica at 10:00 a.m. Interment in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Charlottetown.
