New Clergy Appointments Coming in January

On November 5, 2012, Most Reverend Richard Grecco, Bishop of Charlottetown, announced the following Clergy changes effective in January, 2013:

Reverend Joseph Brazel, presently Pastor of St. Mary’s- Holy Family Parish, Kensington, to retirement. This retirement is effective on Janaury 31, 2013.

Reverend Michel Painchaud, presently Pastor of Sacred Heart Parish, Alberton and Administrator of St. Mark’s Parish, Burton, to Pastor of Paroisse St. Phillippe et St.Jacques and Administrator of Notre-Dame du Mont Carmel, Mont Carmel. In addition he is responsible for French Ministry at St. Paul’s Parish, Summerside. This appointment is effective on January 3, 2013.

Reverend John Molina, presently studying Canon Law, Ottawa, to Pastor of St. Mary’s-Holy Family Parish, Kensington, and Administrator of St. James Parish, Summerfield. This appointment is effective on January 31, 2013.

Reverend Bradley Sweet, presently Pastor of Paroisse St. Phillippe et St. Jacques, Egmont Bay, and Administrator of Notre-Dame Du Mont Carmel, Mont Carmel, to a “Leave of Absence” to Work with The International Commission on English in the Liturgy( ICEL). This appointment is effective January 3, 2013.

Reverend Chris Sherren, presently Associate Pastor of St. Paul’s Parish, Summerside, to Pastor of Sacred Heart Parish, Alberton, and Administrator of St. Mark’s Parish, Burton. He is also appointed Chaplain of St. Anne’s Parish, Lennox Island. This appointment is effective on January 3, 2013.

Reverend Augustine Ignasimuthu presently on leave from the Diocese of Kumbakonam, India, to Associate Pastor, St. Paul’s Parish, Summerside. This appointment is effective on January 3, 2013.
