In today’s society, it’s easy to get caught up in careers and material possessions. Add all these responsibilities to an already demanding schedule with family and children, it’s no surprise that at the end of the day, there seems to be little time left for each other. This busy, demanding lifestyle can cause many to become frustrated and couples may drift apart.
Courses and sessions are offered in career advancement and financial security. A Marriage Encounter Weekend can revitalize a marriage relationship. Worldwide Marriage Encounter is for married couples who want to rediscover the passion of their early years of their relationship and are searching for a greater intimacy.
We experienced our Marriage Encounter Weekend in 1994. With four small children, jobs and busy lives, we knew we could benefit from some time to focus on just us and our communication. Our Marriage Encounter Weekend helped to open our eyes to each other, and continue striving for the best loving, healthy and committed marriage we could have.
We were concerned about leaving our children for the weekend, but we realize now that the best gift a couple can give their children is the opportunity to grow up in a home where they see both Mom and Dad loving each other, working out their struggles and supporting each other in daily life. We came home from our Weekend with an enthusiasm to work hard at keeping and building our strong marriage.
Marriage Encounter offers a weekend experience for couples who want to make their good marriage even better. It’s an opportunity for couples to look at themselves, their couple relationship, and their relationship with God. There is no group discussion. This is a time for husbands and wives to rediscover each other, and together focus on their relationship in order to deepen and enrich their marriage.
Worldwide Marriage Encounter is the largest pro-marriage movement in the world. The mission of Worldwide Marriage Encounter is to proclaim the value of Marriage and Holy Orders in the Church and in the world. The heart of the movement’s philosophy the deep-seated belief that the Sacraments of Matrimony and Holy Orders are powerful and precious gifts given by God to the Church.
The next Marriage Encounter will be held at the new Our Lady of Hope Retreat Centre April 7 to 9, 2017. E-mail email@example.com for more details and look over the following Marriage Encounter Questions & Answers flyer:
