Greetings to everyone as we enter into some new spring programs at the Martha Spirituality Centre at SDU Place in Charlottetown. To register for any of the following programs call 902-367-3103 or email srgemma@eastlink.ca

 

Grief Club study group begins Wednesday, May 9 from 9:00-11:30 and continues every Wednesday until June 20.This is a book by Melody Beattie and the group will be facilitated by Anne Gillis and Heather Carver. Cost $40 including the text or $20 if you have the text. Need to register as soon as possible so books can be ordered.

 

Christian Women’s Retreat Day will be held on Saturday, April 21 from 10am-3pm with retreat leader Lynn DeLong, who is our Women’s Study group leader and a member of the Spiritual Directors Association. Cost $30

 

Fabric of our Lives Workshop Day on Friday, April 27 from 9am-3pm with Sinikka Dixon, a retired sociologist living now in St. Catherines, PE. Her workshop deals with the five cycles of change (age, family, education, work and leisure) and will be an interactive workshop. Cost $30. or $50 a couple Need to register by April 24.

 

Men’s Retreat Day on Saturday, May 26 from 10am-3pm with leader Gilles Michaud, who is the facilitator of the regular Men’s group and is a member of the team at the Martha Spirituality Centre. His theme is Discovering John of the Cross: the path of a Contemplative Man. Cost $20.

 

Special Lecture: Compassion, the Sacred Heart in Action by Dr. David Maginley who is a Lutheran pastor, a chaplain at QEH 11Oncology Unit in Halifax, a 4-time cancer survivor, an author and a lecturer. Open to the public. Donations accepted.
