The death occurred at home in Palmer Road on June 27, 2018 of Fr. Melvin J. Doucette aged 79 years.
He was born in Palmer Road on March 2, 1939, the son of Joseph A. and Beatrice Doucette.
He is survived by brothers and sisters Vincent (Diane), Montreal, Albon (Darlene), Leoville, Ray , Toronto, Esther Bernard (late Leo), Charlottetown, Annie Mae (Roland), Charlottetown, Della Chapot (Michel), Montreal and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by parents Joseph and Beatrice, sisters Velda, Janette, brothers Hector, Cyril Jr. and Albon in infancy.
Resting at the West Prince Funeral Home, 522 Thompson Road for visiting hours Monday 7-9 P.M.
Funeral will be held Tuesday July 3, 2018 at Immaculate Conception Church, Palmer Road with funeral mass at 3 P.M.
Memorial donations to Immaculate Conception Church Repair Fund or Diabetes Association would be greatly appreciated. Interment in the church cemetery.
