Having trouble hearing God’s voice in a busy world? Perhaps it’s time to get away from it all and discover that God has a unique plan for you and your loved ones.  Men are invited to be part of the next Cursillo spiritual retreat from the evening of Thursday, November 2nd to Sunday afternoon, November 5th in the new Our Lady of Hope Retreat Centre.   • Grace Series begins Sept. 18 from 10:30-11:45am for 7 Mondays – a series of reflective responses to Pope Francis’ Laudato Si. Titles include Grace of Earth, Grace of Atmosphere, Grace of Oceans, Grace of Land, etc…Cost $30.
  • Praying with the Gospel of Luke is every Thursday beginning Sept. 21 from 10:45-noon
  • Women’s Book Study “Dear Heart Come Home: the Path of Mid-life spirituality” by Joyce Rupp begins Sept. 25 at 7:00pm.


Kick off Thanksgiving weekend by attending a fundraising concert on Friday, October 6 at Murphy’s Community Centre in Charlottetown in support of our Somalian refugee family reunification project. “From Kakuma to Canada” will feature popular Island storytellers Gary Evans, Dennis King and Alan Buchanan, along with musical guests Dino Dunsford and friends, Cynthia MacLeod and Jon Matthews. The Collection for the Needs of the Church in Canada takes place on September 23, and 24th, 2017. It is asked that this additional Prayer of the Faithful be added to your week-end liturgies for the 23rd and 24th: “For all the Bishops of Canada and their episcopal ministry in this preparatory year of the Synod on Young People, the Faith and Vocational Discernment…we pray to the Lord.” (For information video click on Bishop Douglas Crosby’s Photo.)

St. Dunstan’s Christmas Concert

St. Dunstan’s Basilica Annual Christmas Concert Friday, December 22 will feature “Mary Through the Ages”, Those wishing to sing in this exciting event are invited to attend choral rehearsals on Tuesday evenings 6:30 – 8:30 in the church beginning October 10.
