A Gentle Reminder re Public Forum: There will be an open forum regarding our welcoming of refugees to Prince Edward Island.  The key-note speaker is well-known author and activist Mary Jo Leddy.  This event is taking place on Saturday, November 16 between 12:30 – 4:00 p.m. at the Murchison Centre in Charlottetown.  All are welcome. NEW! Children’s Mass at St. Paul’s Parish Summerside. Father Benedict will be holding a special Mass for Children on November 3rd at 10:30 am in the Parish Hall. Our regular 10:30 am Mass will be taking place concurrently upstairs in the Church. Parents are encouraged to attend the regular Mass and send their children downstairs to the Children’s Mass. The Children’s Mass will be specifically designed so that the Children can better understand what is taking place and participate in the Mass at their level.

St. Malachy”s Church, Kinkora, PEI

St. Malachy’s Parish Kinkora is looking for a buyer for the church’s boiler:  Smith Series 19, 6-section low pressure steam boiler, installed in 2006, includes Carlin 702 burner, installed in 2013.  Asking $5000.  For more information or to arrange a viewing please contact the parish office at 902-887-2020 or stmalachys6@gmail.com .

St. Simon & St. Jude Parish, Tignish, PEI

St. Simon & St. Jude will host a retreat on Saturday, November 16th at the Tignish Parish Centre.   Open to parishioners from any parish, it will begin at 1 pm and end at 5 pm.  As a Catholic community, we come together in the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ to hear and reflect upon what God the Father, through the Holy Spirit, is saying to us today.  In order to prepare for this retreat and to register, please call the Tignish Parish office on or before Thursday, November 14th at 902-882-2049.

If you are in grades 8-12, The Crew is a great place to ask questions and learn about our Catholic faith through games, talks and praise & worship. Join us in the basement of St. Dunstan’s Basilica every Thursday from 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm.   “You, dear young people, are not the future but the now of God.” – Pope Francis 


First Saturday Gathering for Blessed Virgin Mary (BVM):  On November 2nd, there will be a gathering after the 5:00 pm mass in the Knights of Columbus room at St. Dunstan’s Basilica.  We will share our experience and information about BVM as our Spiritual Mother. We will have a light lunch, presentation on Veneration to Our Lady (Spain) and recapitulation of Camino, fellowship and Rosary.
