Diocesan Choir: The Mass of Chrism will take place in the Basilica on Monday, March 26 at 7 pm. Anyone wishing to lend their voices in song for this Diocesan celebration is invited to attend a single rehearsal on Sunday, March 25 (Palm Sunday) at 12 noon in the Basilica.

SDU Board Contributions: May of 2019 will mark the 50th anniversary of the last graduating class of Saint Dunstan’s University and the 50th anniversary of the SDU Board of Governors operating as a charitable foundation. The largest benefactor of the SDU foundation has been the Diocese of Charlottetown. During this time period, SDU has contributed $16,562,000 to the Diocese to fund programs and assist with the cost of seminarians. Currently SDU contributes $287,855 per year plus $15,000 per seminarian to the Diocese. In addition to this amount SDU has contributed 1.5 million to repairs to Saint Dunstan’s Basilica and one million to the recent Priest’s Benevolent Fund campaign.

Pilgrimage to Shrines of Italy: Join Fr. Andrew Handrahan on a guided pilgrimage to some of Italy’s holy sites. From November 6-16th, 2018, the pilgrimage will travel to Italy and visit such places as Rome, Vatican City, Assisi, San Giovanni Rotunda, and Montecassino. See the relics of St. Benedict, and the place where St. Michael the Archangel appeared; walk through the Catacombs of Rome, and breath in the air of the picturesque town of St. Francis; experience St. Peter’s basilica in Vatican City, and be present for the Holy Father’s Wednesday audience.
