Stay Connected Youth Retreat… All youth ages 15 and up are invited to a day retreat at St. Paul’s Parish in Summerside on Saturday, July 21st. The retreat will begin at 9:30 am with Mass and the Holy Eucharist, followed by a welcoming and registration. This retreat will focus on God’s love and the relationship we have with him. Throughout the day, there will be a variety of activities, as well as the Sacrament of Reconciliation and Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. The day will conclude at 4:00 pm. Connolly Estate Bursaries are now available to qualifying university students in their first, second, third or fourth year. A change in policy means university students can now receive support for a maximum of four years (not two). In addition, college students who are completing a joint program/degree may also qualify during their university studies. The bursaries are open to full-time university students who are male or female, Roman Catholic, and Irish in heritage. Applicants must demonstrate financial need.

Canadian Gold Mining in the Dominican Republic is the topic of a presentation and dialogue to be held on Sunday, June 10, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Our Lady of the Assumption Parish Hall, Stratford. Ryan MacRae will speak from the Dominican Republic (DR) on this issue, using distance communication technology. Ryan is a missionary with the Latin American Mission Program (LAMP) in the DR where he has researched the operations of GoldQuest Corp, a Vancouver-based company.
Two other LAMP members recently returned from the Dominican Republic and Guatemala, Father Eddie Cormier and Maureen Larkin respectively, will also have up-to-date information on the how the Canadian mining industry operates in the Caribbean and Central America. The presentation is part of LAMP’s Annual General Meeting.
